I'm Dr. Dickey, and I am running to represent the people of North Alabama as Alabama Senator for District 3. My dad is a farmer, and he raised me to understand the value of hard work. My mom experienced significant health issues during my lifetime, but she was quick to smile and find joy in the little blessings of life. Probably the biggest inspiration in my life was my grandfather. He was tireless in his support of his community, and he showed that giving back didn't end when he retired. This influence will guide me as I seek to serve my community further when elected to the Alabama Senate.

I bring a variety of experiences from working cattle, teaching all age ranges, and getting a doctorate in Political Science from the University of Tennessee.

Whether it's working to ensure our schools have the resources to prepare our children for the jobs of the future, supporting local businesses, improving access to affordable housing, or protecting access to healthcare, I believe that government should be about solving problems and working for the Alabama taxpayers.
I am running for the Alabama Senate because I believe in the people of North Alabama, and I want to help this community prosper as the people expect. Our community's best days are in front of us, and I am ready to do my part to move us forward.

Alabama Senate District 3 consists of the residents of Morgan County, Southwestern Madison County, and Southeastern Limestone County.
